The 46th Session of the Standing Conference of Polish Museums, Archives, and Libraries Abroad to Take Place in Chicago
Chicago, September 24-28, 2024 – The 46th Session of the Standing Conference of Polish Museums, Archives, and Libraries Abroad (Muzeów, Archiwów i Bibliotek Polskich na Zachodzie, MABPZ) will soon commence in Chicago. This highly anticipated event will gather representatives from institutions worldwide dedicated to preserving Polish heritage. The theme for this year’s conference is: “National Anniversaries in the Collections of MABPZ Institutions.”
Held at the Polish Museum of America, participants will delve into the rich cultural and historical resources housed at the museum, as well as its accompanying Library and Archives. Delegates will have the opportunity to exchange knowledge, attend engaging lectures, and participate in discussions focusing on key initiatives that sustain and promote Polish culture abroad.
In addition to conference proceedings, delegates will embark on a curated tour of selected Polish churches in Chicago, visit the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland, and pay tribute to significant national monuments.
